Ciena’s 5166 is a hardened, dual-redundant–powered, 800 Gb/s router with 400GbE coherent support. As a compact 1RU power-efficient access and aggregation device, it offers 32 ports of 1/10/25GbE—all of which support Ethernet, eCPRI, and XGS-PON and are 25GS-PON ready—with 2 x 100/200/400GbE fixed ports, including the option of coherent WaveLogic™ 5 Nano (WL5n) on QSFP-DD or CFP2-DCO. Its flexibility sets a new benchmark for broadband, 5G, and enterprise use cases, all on a common infrastructure.
