Ciena’s 5164 is a hardened, dual-redundant–powered, MEF 3.0–compliant, 800 Gb/s router. As a compact 1RU power-efficient access and aggregation device, it offers 32 ports of 1/10/25GbE—all of which support Ethernet, eCPRI, and XGS-PON and are 25GS-PON ready— with 4 x 100/200GbE fixed ports, including support of coherent WaveLogic™ 5 Nano (WL5n) pluggable optics. Its flexibility sets a new benchmark for broadband, 5G, and enterprise use cases, all on a common infrastructure.
