The WaveLogic™ 6 Extreme (WL6e) 2 x 1.6T 8 x QSFP-DD/QSFP-DD800 Encryption Module brings the industry’s first 1.6 Tb/s wire-speed, quantum-safe encryption technology to the Waveserver® platform. Designed for secure, high-capacity networking, it supports 100/400/800GbE traffic across any distance, from metro and long-haul to DCI and subsea networks. The module combines eight client ports with two programmable coherent dense wavelength division multiplexing line interfaces to deliver up to 3.2 Tb/s of encrypted capacity while increasing Waveserver density to 12.8 Tb/s per chassis. With AES-256-GCM wire-speed encryption, support for NIST-certified post-quantum cryptography, and interoperability with external QKD systems, the WL6e 2 x 1.6T Encryption Module enables network operators to protect critical in-flight data. At the same time, it helps maximize performance and spectral efficiency, reduce power, and simplify deployment.
