Jeff Groom is one of Ciena's field sales system engineers, so he spends much of his day talking directly to customers.  He created the below video as way to introduce some of the key technology concepts of modern Carrier Ethernet and Packet networks.

As you'll see from the video, Jeff not only knows his stuff, but he can present it in a lighthearted way that doesn't make your eyes glaze over -- even taking a trip back to the "dark ages" of early Ethernet.  If you are interested in understanding Carrier Ethernet buzzwords like G.8032 protected Ethernet rings, IEEE 802.1ag, MEF Ethernet services, VLANs, and automated service turn-up, this tutorial is a great resource.
