Vision Net is increasing high-capacity network access in Bozeman, Mont., helping local businesses, research organizations, and institutions support evolving digital operations and AI-driven workloads. The launch of its Discovery Network follows Vision Net’s broader investment in next-generation network capabilities and AI infrastructure, including its introduction of the Mountain West region’s first 800Gb/s network.
By leveraging Ciena’s optical, routing & switching, and network control technologies, Vision Net is increasing capacity efficiently while giving customers access to more flexible, resilient, and high-performance connectivity options.
Bozeman has experienced a sustained period of growth, with an influx of new businesses and qualified workers, setting it as one of the fastest-growing technology-oriented markets in Montana. Powering high-capacity 800Gb/s connectivity with Ciena optical solutions
The deployment uses Ciena’s 6500 platform powered by WaveLogic technology to increase capacity efficiently, while Navigator Network Control Suite with Liquid Spectrum analytics helps Vision Net dynamically tune and scale services as customer needs evolve.

Additionally, Vision Net is utilizing Ciena’s routing and switching solutions, including the 5164 Router and 8110 Coherent Aggregation Router, in its network infrastructure to power the efficient provisioning of carrier-managed services.
The network supports both existing customer relationships and new business opportunities in the Bozeman market, enabling Vision Net to serve a broader mix of enterprise, research, technology, and carrier customers with growing bandwidth and AI connectivity requirements.
