Ciena Spotlights AI-Ready Networking Innovations at India Mobile Congress 2026

Demonstrations include expanded DCOM portfolio and new 8300 edge router

Ciena (NYSE: CIEN) will showcase the latest technologies that help service providers build, deliver, and operate networks to support AI-driven services at Booth D28 in Hall 2 at India Mobile Congress (IMC) 2026, taking place October 7-10 at Yashobhoomi, New Delhi.

Demonstration Highlights:

• Distributed Service Edge with 8300: Demonstrating Ciena’s high-performance 8300 router to support AI services with greater scale, service awareness, and operational control at the edge. There will also be demonstrations of Ciena’s coherent routing, segment routing, and Ethernet Virtual Private Network (EVPN) capabilities.
• Data Center Out-of-Band Management (DCOM): Showcasing Ciena’s expanded DCOM solution, which replaces complex legacy out-of-band management networks with a streamlined, PON-based architecture that reduces footprint, space, power, cooling, and cost while supporting reliable out-of-band access at scale.
• RLS Hyper-Rail, WaveLogic 6 Nano (WL6n) and other optical innovations: Featuring RLS Hyper-Rail for interconnecting AI data centers across multi-span routes, RLS high-density ROADM (HDRLA) for nodes with low degrees of connectivity, and WL6n coherent pluggables in QSFP-DD and OSFP form factors, alongside demonstrations of quantum-safe communications with post-quantum cryptography, fiber sensing, and hollow-core fiber.
• Navigator Network Control Suite (Navigator NCS): Exhibiting Ciena’s AIOps capabilities for faster troubleshooting, improved multi-layer visibility, and simplified IP node configuration across coherent routing network environments.
• Blue Planet: Showcasing intelligent automation capabilities across inventory, orchestration, assurance, and route analytics, with Agentic AI embedded throughout the OSS portfolio to transform multi-vendor, multi-domain network and service operations.
