About Marc Graff

Marc Graff joined Ciena in August 2025 as Senior Vice President and Chief Financial Officer. Prior to joining Ciena, Graff was Senior Vice President and Chief Financial Officer for Altera Corporation. During his time at Altera, he led the majority sale of the asset from Intel to Silver Lake Partners and oversaw related activities to ensure independent operations. Before spinning out Altera, Graff spent 28 years in various senior roles at Intel Corporation, including CFO and COO of Intel's Datacenter and Artificial Intelligence Group, Head of Corporate Financial Planning and Analysis, CFO of Intel's Global Sales and Marketing Group, and leadership positions in manufacturing and supply chain organizations. Additionally, Graff spent nine years in Asia across two assignments, culminating in his role as CFO of Intel's Asia Pacific and Japan geography. Graff brings a wealth of leadership and team development experience to Ciena, along with a strong focus on building shareholder value.

Marc lives in Maryland with his wife and has two grown children who also reside on the East Coast. Outside of work, he enjoys scuba diving, woodworking, and playing the occasional round of golf. Graff holds a bachelor’s degree in business administration from the University of Colorado at Boulder and an MBA with an emphasis in finance and strategy from the University of Michigan Business School.
