Mr. Petrik joined Ciena in July 1996 as Controller and was promoted to Vice President in August 1997. From 1989 to 1996, Mr. Petrik was employed by Microdyne Corporation where he was the Assistant Controller from 1989 to 1994 and Assistant Vice President of Marketing and Product Planning from 1994 to 1996. Mr. Petrik holds a B.S. in accounting from the University of Maryland and is a Certified Public Accountant.
