CatenaView EMS provides full FCAPS and OAM&P functionality. An easy-to-use Graphical User Interface (GUI) client provides access to template-based bulk provisioning or pre-provisioning of components to enable rapid service activation without the need for additional hardware or costly field service calls.
CatenaView EMS architecture scales easily to tens of thousands of managed lines and features multi-threading to provide concurrent processing of simultaneous network events. For small networks, the CatenaView EMS can be deployed in a standalone configuration with all components installed on a single platform. For larger or rapidly growing networks, the CatenaView EMS can be deployed with the GUI clients on separate PC or Sun™ workstations.
CatenaView EMS offers unified network management by integrating smoothly with other Network Management Systems (NMSs) and Operations Support Systems (OSSs). Automated, flow-through provisioning, alarm monitoring, and performance monitoring is enabled through CatenaView CORBA or TL1 northbound gateways. The gateways can reside on the CatenaView Central Server or on a separate Sun workstation.
