The enclosure, which houses up to three CNX-5Plus Modular Broadband Loop Carriers, is compliant with stringent FCC Part 15 Class B emissions requirements.

The CNX-5Plus Indoor Enclosure introduces Ciena’s industry-leading time-to-service metrics into the customer premises, enabling carriers to expand broadband services to Multi-Dwelling Units (MDUs) and Multi-Tenant Units (MTUs) at a low initial cost. This onsite deployment eliminates the outside plant, dramatically shortening loops andmaximizing DSL data rates.

The enclosure is available in one- or two-shelf configurations, or as a field-add kit that can accommodate an additional shelf to meet growing capacity requirements.
An integrated Valere Power™ rectifier mounting rack with pre-installed cabling minimizes installation time; and detailed installation methods simplify power, battery, and cross-connect block
interconnectivity.
