A module of ON-Center Network and Service Management Suite, the Ethernet Access Manager provides simple, integrated management capabilities for the efficient management of Carrier Ethernet services. 

From the ON-Center GUI, Network Operation Center (NOC) personnel are provided real-time monitoring, proactive fault isolation and effortless service provisioning. Through the use of submaps, users can arrange access elements together into logical groupings that make them easier to manage.

Through the common management model, ON-Center provides circuit-like management for packet services, thus allowing network operators to offer Carrier Ethernet services to their business customers.  The Ethernet Access Manager provides all the tools required for point-and-click provisioning, proactive fault management, performance monitoring, and remote web access to network elements.

The CN 3000 Network Termination Equipment (NTE) provides intelligent demarcation between customer and carrier networks and supports Ethernet Operations, Administration and Maintenance (OAM) for traffic management and performance monitoring, enabling end-to-end service monitoring and Service Level Agreement (SLA) verification. The NTE can be managed fully from remote locations, providing tremendous savings on operational expenses.

As a module of the ON-Center suite, the Ethernet Access Manager interoperates seamlessly with the ON-Center integrated network management suite, providing full FCAPS, including end-to-end provisioning and end-to-end service management for all Ciena products.
