Through a strategic partnership announced in September 2003, Ciena Corporation and Luminous Networks of Cupertino, CA have entered into a worldwide reseller agreement. As part of Ciena’s LightWorks Services portfolio strategy to help service providers capitalize on data and traditional services with efficiency and profitability, Ciena is:

• Jointly marketing and selling Luminous Networks’ entire PacketWave family of products.
• Furnishing 7x24 technical support for Luminous Networks PacketWave products via its worldwide network of technical assistance centers (TACs).
• Actively working with customers to develop end-to-end solutions based on Ciena and Luminous Networks products
• Integrating PacketWave family of products into Ciena's LightWorks ON-Center® Management Suite

This Agreement was preceded by Ciena's investment in Luminous’ series E round of funding.
