Appoints Oscar Toulet Country Manager and Sales Director for CIENA Mexico
Linthicum, MD — 08/28/1999Ciena Corporation (NASDAQ: CIEN) today announced that Oscar Toulet has been appointed as its country manager and sales director for Ciena's operations in Mexico. Mr. Toulet will oversee sales and marketing operations from the company's new Mexico City office, and will report to M. Arely Castellon, vice president and general manager of the Latin America region.
Toulet has more than 10 years of sales and management experience in Mexico's telecommunications industry with AT&T, N.E.T. and Telmex. His project development experience includes contributing to the structured cabling of Mexico's World Trade Center, the opening of N.E.T.'s Mexico sales office, and multi-million dollar contract negotiations with Mexico's most important carriers.
