In the next 24 months, enterprises are going to focus on further efficiency improvements from service providers through virtualization to improve the overall delivery of ICT software and services. How do we get there from here? The results of the IDC Asia/Pacific WAN and Communications Survey, 2015, show that enterprises see the need for network to be not only agile, but also flexible and one where services can be quickly provisioned. The results also reveal the drivers for network investments into the data center, motivations for considering or implementing SDN, and network functions considered for virtualization.
